What colors say fall better than brown, gold and orange? Whether in pumpkins or leaves, these colors dominate the season. Today’s card features some familiar fall themes – leaves, acorns and burlap.

The 5 x 7 card base is made from Basis Brown. This is a deep and rich cocoa brown. Love it! On top I placed a mat made from another gorgeous cardstock, Stardream Metallic Gold.
My leaves and and acorns are from the same die from CottageCutz called Stitched Leaves. I cut them from Pop Tones cardstock. The colors are Wild Cherry, Limeade, Banana Split and Orange Fizz. I used Basis Brown for one leaf and the tops of the acorns. I cut a wide strip of burlap paper from a DCWV paper stack. I then cut two borders for the strip from the Basis Brown.

Before arranging the pieces, I applied a bit of glitz to the burlap with Gilded Avocado Cosmic Shimmer with a sponge.

I also heat embossed the sentiment with a Recollections embossing powder called Carnelian. After all the prep work was done, I arranged the pieces into my finished card.

This was a fun card to work on using the beautiful colors of orange, brown and gold as focal points. I hope you get your fall on and check out CutCardstock’s many brands in these colors. Best of all, it’s on sale right now. Get it while you can and indulge in the beautiful colors of fall!

Love the Fall colors and the burlap background.
