Autumn Stitchery!

How excited are you for Autumn? Fires, Crisp air, the smell of leaves, pumpkins, cocoa, hayrides, the amazing Fall palette. Fall is my most favorite season, and I am so overly excited to be creating with this amazing colors! This design, I borrowed from an amazing friend, I loved the impact it makes, and this picture is dear to me, it is my youngest nephew on his daddy’s knee!

Starting out, I grabbed some Neutral Twine Kraft Cardstock , Curious Gold Leaf Metallic Cardstock, and DCS Orange Cardstock, along with 2 of my favorite fall patterned papers, from an older Echo Park Collection. I am a tiny bit of a hoarder with a few companies, Echo Park being one, so I tend to bring back older collections.

Using the Kraft as my base, I cut one of the patterns to 11.5×11.5. Using an older tool, roughed up the edges of the patterned paper. When adhering a sheet of paper this big to another, I like to use Score-Tape. Its strong, its not messing and is a bit more forgiving then others if you need to readjust.

Doesn’t need to be perfect, just needs look the way you see it in your mind. little mistakes can always be hidden by awesome embellishments.
With the orange cardstock, and the second patterned paper, I layered them off centered, I wanted that pop of orange, its one of my favorite fall colors, you will see this over the next few months! I am all about everything Fall and pumpkins! Once I adhered these down, I decided to add some stitching! I love Stitching paper. It looks so pretty, adds to the texture, and overall look of the layout.
The brown stitching here, I think made that Orange cardstock really pop off that page. After I had this all done, I regretted not having more of that orange showing, but this happens, we just run with it.
I used simple embellishments for this.. Fussy Cut Leaves, Expoy Flair, Sequins, some layering elements exclusive to Redefined Kreative, some acrylic pieces, wood veneer leave, and enamel dots. I used some word and phrase stickers as well, adding some doodling around them. I popped up some flair and leaves.
This was a simple layout, but it turned out amazing. the paper layers, and popped up picture and leaves, the cut files, the sparkle of the sequins, and the lovely Stitching. The only thing that would make this any better is if i had a PSL right here with me while I type this up! I cannot wait for it to be Autumn. I hope you felt inspired or excited for the season to come. Please share any fall project you’ve done. I love to see how everyone gets inspired by different aspects of the seasons!
Happy Crafting!
