How to Create a Sweet Card for a Grandchild

Hello, CutCardStock fans!

Leslie here, and thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! Who doesn’t need ‘lovey’ kind of cards in their stash? I have several grandchildren, and this kind of card goes over big! The card I’m sharing with you today features Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and is a super easy design with a small supply list!

I cut a standard A2 size top-fold card base from Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with a background panel from textured-look patterned paper.

For the inside, I cut a white panel from Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock along with a smaller piece of textured-look patterned paper and a layering panel from the same paper.

I stamped the popcorn box in red ink. I stamped the large popcorn cluster, two small loose kernel clusters, and the sentiments in black ink. I colored the popcorn with two yellow alcohol markers and then cut all the elements with coordinating dies.

I assembled the front panel and adhered it to the front of the card base. I adhered the sentiment to the front of the box and then adhered the large popcorn cluster and the box to the front of the card, and then added one of the small loose kernel clusters toward the bottom.

For the inside panel, I adhered the smaller piece of textured-look patterned paper and the sentiment to the top of the white panel then adhered the piece to the layering panel and adhered it to the inside of the card base.

The final step was adding the other small loose kernel cluster at the bottom.
