How to Make a Father’s Day Scrapbook Layout Using Cardstock.

Today I am going to show you how to make a Father’s Day scrapbook layout using cardstock. This layout features some fabulous cardstock from the CutCardstock Online Store. The cardstock on this layout is of a great weight, and uses some of my favorite colors. This layout is super easy to make, but it’s still a layout any dad would be proud to have in a photo frame or scrapbook.

This layout starts off with a 12 x 12 sheet of black cardstock.

To that you will add this 8 1/2 x 11 Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock to the bottom portion of your layout, leaving approximately 1/2 inch on each side still showing the black cardstock. You will use the whole sheet of the white cardstock.

To the top of that you will add a strip of the 8 1/2 x 11 Basis Med Blue. This is one of my favorite colors that the CutCardstock Online Store carries, and it was perfect for this Father’s Day layout.
You will need a large enough strip to make sure you can glue it under the white cardstock while still leaving a 1 /2 border on on the top of the base page. After you have glued these cardstock pieces in place cover the seam with a strip of matching ribbon or washi tape.

Using the Pop Tone Black Licorice Cardstock you will need to make your 1st photo mat. Also used was more of the Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock because my photo colors were so dark.

To the back of both my photo mats I used these Adhesive Foam Dots to raise my photo slightly off of my scrapbook page. Added as well were brads to each of the corners of this layout.

Here is what the layout should look like now.

Next you will need to make your second photo mat. This one is slightly off center to give the layout more visual interest.

This photo shows all the names added as well as the second photo.

It is now time to add the journaling box to your Father’s Day layout. The matching ribbon was added to this area as well, and again I used the Pop Tone Black Licorice Cardstock and the Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Also added was a word accent, and brads.

Now it was time to add the layout title. This included some black gems, alphabet stickers, and an arrow embellishment.

Now it was time to add the banner to the top left. It was super easy to make and alphabet stickers and gems were added to that area as well.

Here again is the finished Father’s Day scrapbook layout. I hope you enjoyed following along today, and don’t forget to give the CutCardstock Online Store
a chance to fill your next cardstock orders. They usually ship on the same day which is perfect when you are in a hurry for your supplies.
