Mini Easter Treat Basket

Do you have a favorite season? I get to experience all four seasons where I live, and it’s hard to pick a favorite. However, I think Spring is definitely at the top. Here’s a fun treat basket you can make to celebrate the Easter season, whether you’re hosting a party or want to dress up your Easter dinner table.

Supplies Needed:

To begin, I used my Silhouette Cameo machine to cut out a cute little 3D basket design by the artist Sweet Afton. I used some beautiful light pink metallic cardstock that has the perfect shimmer to it.

Next, I started assembling the bow. Add a dot of Tombow adhesive to the middle of the bow and bend over the bow piece. Do the same for the other side.

Next, add a little more glue to the middle and wrap the tab around the middle, which creates the center of the bow.

Now glue the back of the bow to the separate ribbon piece and let dry.

Then I began to work on the basket part. Begin by folding up each of the pickets. Check out that beautiful shimmer!

Take the thin strips and glue together to create one long one. Then gently glue it to the middle of each picket, slowly wrapping it around each side until all the pickets are glued in a square.

Now take the thicker strip and create the handle of the basket by glueing it to two opposite sides. Glue on the bow as well.

Fill the basket with crinkle paper and your favorite easter candy and you’re all done!

Check out the other pretty colors of Curious Metallic cardstock that’s on sale this month, and see what you can create! Happy spring!
