Hi crafty friends! How is your March going? It really is feeling like spring here; I love the warmer weather and sun. I have been spending lots of time outside. My dog loves the cold weather, but he is not saying no to the extra walks now that the weather has warmed up.
For this post, I have an Easter card to share with the sentiment “Happy Easter, Happy Spring, Happy Everything!” I love that sentiment!
I wanted something different to color the image in than my usual go-to coloring medium, which is alcohol markers. I used Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. They are like a paintbrush, but they are sparkly. The sparkle doesn’t show up to well in person, but in real life, the image is super sparkly and shimmers in the light.
I die cut a stitched 4 1/4″ X 5 1/5″ rectangle out of Curious Metallic Poison Ivory.
To add a little detail and dimension, I stenciled some flowery leaves onto the rectangle in “Spa Blue” ink.
I adhered the purple oval off-center to the stenciled rectangle. I wrapped a piece of green twine around the rectangle twice.
I adhered the colored image over the purple oval with foam tape. Then, I tied a bow in the twine on the left side of the card.
For the sentiment, I stamped it with Memento black ink and die cut it out with a stitched banner die.
Thanks for stopping by today!
