Back to school is around the corner! My daughter’s closet is slowly getting filled with new clothing, backpacks, and school supplies. My kiddo is a go-getter. She’s confident to a fault, and she doesn’t need her momma to help her through the world. Or so she thinks right now.
Even if she doesn’t need it, I like to always tell her how amazing she is, or I occasionally sneak something small and special into her day. Who doesn’t melt a little at an unexpected expression of Love? The first week back of school, I’m planning on sneaking a card into her backpack. Just a little note from her mommy, found randomly in the day, to remind my 2nd grader that she’s adored at home.By keeping my design simple, with just a POP of color, I ensured that during this busy time of the year I could produce quite a few of these in almost no time. Touches of glitter and gemstones make my daughter feel special and she KNOWS that mommy loves her when I use my favorite gemstones.
I used one of my favorite stamp sets, called Lunch Box Notes. It is a retired stamp, but there is a second version: Lunch Box Notes 2.
To ensure that my stamp was lined up, and not going to stamp crooked in my stamping platform, I like to test stamp on a sheet of acetate. I printed a grid on mine to make it easier to line up.
Perfect placement.
Run some stripes of Scor-Tape down your trimmed and stamped focal strips.
Glitter away.
Finish off by mounting with 3D foam adhesive onto a nice white card base. I LOVED using the Basis White #110! It is sturdy, perfectly white, and has a nice tooth to it. Accent with your favorite gemstones, or not! I won’t judge if you keep hoarding them! 😀
I hope she loves this! Thank you so much for joining me! I hope I’ve inspired you to make a few paper hugs for your Littles!I used the following products in my cards:
