I love a good BBQ with family and friends, don’t you? Summer is the perfect time to fire up the grill and enjoy time with others. If you love hosting parties, here’s a fun invitation you can make to help ring in the freedom festivities!

Supplies:
Pop-Tone Cardstock in Wild Cherry
Discount Cardstock in Indigo Blue
Basis Cardstock in white
Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive
Double-sided Foam Adhesive Strips

I began by using a sheet of Basis Cardstock in white and printed out the information on the invite. I love this paper because it’s thick and sturdy but can still go through my printer really well. Then I used my Silhouette Cameo die-cutting machine and cut out some 3D star pieces (from the Silhouette Desing Store) in my Pop-Tone and Discount Cardstock.

Using some Tombow adhesive, I folded each section that creates the 3D effect and glued it to one side of a star.

Then there’s an extra star that is glued to the opposite side. These stars have small holes punched in them in case you want to hang them as garland, but I chose to use them for my invitation.

Repeat for each star (I made one in red, white and blue) and then glue them onto the invitation.

I wanted to continue the 3D effect and create even more dimension, so I used some double-sided foam strips on the back of each layer of the invite.

Then once everything is placed and adhered, it’s time to deliver them!

I love making plans for the 4th of July, and I’m already stocking up on sunscreen to celebrate! Be sure to stock up on paper as well! Head on over and purchase some festive Pop-Tone Cardstock for your Independence Day festivities!
