Summertime Treat Boxes

Do you have a favorite season? I absolutely love Spring because of the flowers, the smell of fresh-cut grass, and the hope for summer! If you’re attending a party (or even hosting!) here is a fun project you can make that holds treats for 4 people, and you can customize it any way you’d like!

Supplies:
Pop-Tone Cardstock in 4 colors
Basis Cardstock in white
-Baker’s Twine
I began by using my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine to cut out a fun box design from their online design store. I used four colors of Pop-Tone Cardstock: Blue Raspberry, Razzleberry, Wild Cherry, and Limeade.
Next, I made the treat box carrier out of white Basis Cardstock. Then using some Tombow adhesive, I folded the perforated lines and glued the tabs together.
The design calls for two of the white boxes, then they get adhered together.
Then, the treat boxes were put together by folding along the lines and also gluing the tabs. I love the Pop-Tone Cardstock because it’s bright and cheery and still has the perfect weight for holding treats.
The Tombow adhesive is perfect for a project like this because the glue dries quickly and holds permanently.
Once the four boxes are folded into shape and adhered, I took the top decorative piece for each box and slid it onto the two open tabs. Then I tied some cute baker’s twine into the holes to hold the box closed.
Don’t forget to fill them with tasty treats! This makes a fun party favor or even a great neighbor gift.
Be sure to snag some Pop-Tone Cardstock while it’s on sale, and check out all the other beautiful products while you’re there! Happy creating!
