Ivory and White Die Cut Wedding Invitation
I’ve been wanting to create a die cut wedding invite for a while now, and knew with all of that intricate detail I needed to balance it out with subtle colors. With CutCardStock having a sale on all of their white and ivory card stock this month, I decided to go for it.
I’m usually a fan of heavy contrast so when I was picking out colors for this project I wasn’t sure that my go to white card stock (Classic Crest Recycled 100 Bright White Card Stock) would have enough variance with the natural and ivory card stock I had in my cart. So like any good crafter, I bought a variety of colors :).
Once my order arrived, there was no question that the Star Dream Metallic Opal card stock was going to be the perfect combination with the white.
Not only was the color perfect, but I knew the weight (105LB) would support the intricate detail of the die cut.
I created the die cut pattern in Adobe Illustrator, saved it as a PNG file, and then uploaded to the Cricut Design Space. When I’m creating something with a lot of detail like this, I try to use a brand new blade in my Cricut.

** I’ve increased the cutting pressure for
Cardstock+ to 330in the custom materials settings.
After I got the folder cut out I used my We R Memory Keepers Trim and Score Board
to create the fold lines to fold in the corners.

I had the invites printed by CutCardStock on Classic Crest 100 Recycled Card Stock.
To assemble these I used double sided tape to attach the invite to the folder and then created a belly band on CTI Glama Natural Translucent paper to hold it all together.
