Hi Friends!! kel here today 🙂 How has the weather been in your neck of the woods or your corner of the city?? It’s been hot and humid here in Hawaii, but I think that means it’s gonna rain, which hope fully will make the end of the summer much more tolerable!! My kiddos have actually gone back to school this week, so I wanted to make a card for my middle child’s (I call him Little A) librarian because I just adore her!!
I made a CAS (clean and simple) card today using one of my favorite dies and some fun colored enamel dots on top of this card made from this amazingly bright and nice Classic Crest Cardstock in Solar White (80#).
I then used one of my favorite big dies by Paper Smooches to cut out this frame with these wonky stitched borders. It comes out to the perfect size to mat on a full card!
I centered the stamp on my Misti and then stamped away! I had to do it more than a few times to make sure I got the black in her eyes completely colored in.
And then I colored!! There’s no sound in this short video, just to let you know so you don’t turn up your speakers looking for it!
After I got her colored up nice and pretty, I stamped on the sentiment (from another Stamp Anniething set). But look how beautifully she colored up. There was no bleeding, and she colored so smoothly, I just love it!!
I used some pop-up dots to stick her onto the card base, which was just the remaining half of that Classic Crest Cardstock in Solar White (80#) piece that I cut in the beginning.
The last thing I did was add some fun enamel dots to the card. I used two different sets, one was a fall themed one and the other a Christmas one. But together they worked out perfectly!!
Here’s a closeup of her colored… so smooth. It was so nice to color on this Classic Crest Cardstock without having to worry too much about bleeding!!
I hope Little A’s librarian likes the card… I know I’m so happy with how cute she came out!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make sure to stay up to date with the latest news and sales on the CutCardstock Facebook Page!!
