It’s back to school time! That is either a “hooray” or “boooo”, mostly depending on how old you are. The last few days before school can drag on and on so why not pick up a few supplies and have the kids help you with a small craft for their teacher. I call it “Sticky Note Command Center.” Here it is…
Grab the following supplies and get started. You’ll be finished in no time:
sticky note pad–3×3″, 3 large brads, binder clip, patterned paper, Kraft Chipboard, Basis Purple card stock, Flavours Gourmet Candied Blue Violet, White Organza Ribbon, Tombow Mono Multi Purpose liquid glue, Mini Dot N’ Go Adhesive
Then find cute stuff to hang from the bottom such as washi tape, shaped clips, a whistle for a coach, keys, whatever is needed close by.
Let’s do this thing…
- Download the quote from the blog post here and print it onto Basis Purple card stock. Then trim around the text to 4×3-3/4″. As a trick, I took one of the sticky notes and placed it within the borders of the quote, then trimmed to the top of the note and then trimmed the other three edges.
- Trim the following and then using Tombow Mono Multi Purpose liquid glue adhere the stack together.
Kraft Chipboard and patterned papers 4-1/2×5″ (for the back I used two pieces of patterned paper…cute, huh.)
Flavours Gourmet Candied Blue Violet 4-1/4×3-7/8″
- Cut two pieces of White Organza Ribbon about 6″ each and tie them onto the binder clip.
- Add three large brads to the bottom by using glue dots on each of the brads. Then hang some cute stuff on each of them for a new teacher or just for your office. Cute, accessible and practical–what more could you want?
Cheers for back to school, Eli
