Hello Gorgeous Glitter

Are you hoarding your glitter cardstock? Well, come on, pull it out, and let’s make something pretty! And, if you don’t have MirriSparkle Gold cardstock, you’ve got to add it to your stash.

Warning: you’re going to want to hoard this stuff!

This is my first experience with MirriSparkle glitter cardstock and I love it! The glitter is so finely milled that the paper is almost smooth. I’ve never tried it before, but I imagine this would be fabulous glitter paper to color with markers.

But, today we’re going to make a quick and easy card with some die cuts. This paper cut beautifully with one pass through my Gemini Jr!

I started by die cutting the MirriSparkle Gold cardstock with several Altenew die sets: Filament Roses, Classic Alphabet, and Simply Hello.

I also cut a piece of Basis Black cardstock and Curious Metallic Rose Gold cardstock to 4.25 x 5.5 inches to create a two-tone card. I trimmed these down further after deciding on the layout.

I decided I wanted to stack the die cuts to add more dimension, so I cut two more layers of Basis Black cardstock with each die and glued them together.

I also trimmed the “h” off the hello die cut in order to connect it to the Classic Alphabet H die cut. Combining these two die cuts adds more weight to the sentiment.

Once I decided on the layout, I gold embossed gorgeous under the hello die cuts.

I popped up the rose gold panel on sticky back fun foam, glued the elements to the card, and added the card front to an A2 sized Cougar Folded Blank Card base.

And that’s a wrap. I hope you enjoyed this project today and feel inspired to create with glitter paper. Thanks so much for stopping by!
