Poinsettias are my favorite flower for making Christmas cards. I love how the Stardream Metallics add sparkle and shimmer. Today I made a clean and simple card. I started with an A2 card base made with Stardream Metallic in Crystal.
I cut a strip of Stardream Metallic in Gold (1″ x 4 1/4″) and stamped the sentiment with Black Archival Ink and sprinkled clear embossing powder over it. Then I used the heat tool to heat emboss the sentiment. This gives it shine and a little texture. The stamp is from Verses.

I die cut 3 sets of petals from the Mars StarDream metallics and 1 set of large of leaves from Emerald Stardream Metallics. I used Tim Holtz’s Tattered Poinsettia die.
I used the coordinating embossing folder to add texture to the petals and leaves. I also used my fingers to curl the ends of the petals. The large petals I rolled them down and the 2 smallest I rolled up.
I attached the sentiment strip to the left side of the cardbase.
Next I started with the green petals and attached them to the card with a foam square. The I layered the rest of the petals, turning them slightly to fill the gaps.
For the center of the flower I used gold micro beads.
I love how the Stardream Metallic papers add shimmer to the card.
Thanks for stopping by to check out the card.
