Gearing Up for Father’s Day

Gearing up for Father’s Day. Today, Lisa M. here with a great card for the men in your life.  I created it as a Father’s Day card, but it could easily be made in to a birthday card by changing the sentiment.

I started with a Brown Bag Kraft A2 Folded Card and embossed it with the Steampunk embossing folder. I also inked the embossed image with Ground Expresso Distress Ink.

Next, I cut out a variety of gears from the Tim Holtz collection using Basis Colored Cardstock (by the way it is on sale this month) in Black, Brown and Light Brown. I also used Stardream Metallic Cardstock in  Metallic Gold.

I layered the gears using thick and thin pop dots to create multiple layers and trimmed the gears to fit.

I carried the theme to the inside by adding a few more gears.

I stamped the sentiment on a small tag and rounded the corners. I also inked the edges with the Ground Expresso Distress Ink. I added Prima Vintage Trinkets Mini Brads and Assorted Screws to the centers for a finishing touch.
