Hey there friends!! It’s Kristie Larsen here and it’s been awhile since I have had the pleasure to share with you. I have missed you!
Today I wanted to share a die cutting technique using some great CutCardStock.com paper. So lets get started!
How many of you love die cutting? I have a serious obsession with die cuts and so many companies come out with new ones every month and they always blow me away! These die cuts are the PERFECT way to enjoy your various CutCardStock.com papers. They cut beautifully and if you are anything like me, you won’t be able to stop!
I started with a panel of Brown Bag card stock and trimmed it down to be just slightly smaller than an A2 size (4 x 5.25). I pulled out some of my favorite die cut sentiments and started to line them up on the left of my paper. This is when you want to use a T-ruler. It will be your best friend!!
After I lined it all up and secured it with some washi tape, I ran it through my Cuttlebug and cut all those sentiments at once. BAM!
Next I took a variety of card stocks and die cut the different sentiments in different colours. You can use ANY CutCardStock.com papers for this. Metallic, glitter, jewel tones, neutrals or mulit-color like I did here. The possibilities of this card are endless!
After I ran the sentiments I secured the panel to a pre-folded A2 invitation. Then, I started playing puzzle. Using some glue adhesive I replaced all the letters from my sentiments. They fit right back into place without any trouble. And it is really satisfying when they all click in. Just like puzzling, which I love 😉
Actually, I wanted to show you what my son decided would be the best way to display this card. You can get a little peek behind my photography scenes. When I take photos, I use a cutting board (from Ikea) on a chair and put card stock behind it. This was the first take and I decided the white paper didn’t show the card well enough. My son wanted his bear to hold up that flat little card for all the world to see. So now you see!! It was funny to me, and I thought it made Mr. Bear come alive and that maybe it would make you smile today.
wow this came out so nice!!!
Such a fun card! Love all the colors for the inlaid words, and perfect with the bear!
