Halloween Candle Lantern
Happy Friday everyone! How’s your day so far? Thank you for taking your time to check out today’s post here at CutCardStock. I want to share with you a Halloween project today, a candle lantern. The spider web pattern will be projected when the candle is lit, this makes it perfect as Halloween home decor + lantern. If you are interested in making this lantern, a free svg cut file is provided for download at the bottom of this post (for personal use only, please 🙂 the spider image is not included in this download).
After you have downloaded the cut file, you’ll need to cut two times of the same image (the one with spider web) to form a box (except the base for the candle lantern). You’ll need 2 sheets of 8 x 11″ card stocks for the box and a 6×6″ or larger for the base.
Adhere all the flaps, including lantern’s base
Embellish the lantern with any cut-outs that you already have
Place candle in the middle of the lantern
Light up the candle and the spider web shadows will be projected on the wall
