Hellos! Lizzie here with a quick and easy tute on how to turn your die cuts into a FUN card! The possibilities are endless… or maybe they are just limited to your die cutting stash. But I swear… it’s super duper easy. Here is what you need to do…
Grab some Neenah Classic Crest Cardstock and get out your die cutting machine. Here I am using a Spellbinder’s die. If you have an electronic cutter just choose the shape you want your card to be. This can work for all sorts of cutters, manual or fancy smancy electric.
Once you have a shape chosen, you need to cut it out twice.
Next cut a strip that is 1×3 inches. Make sure to score this strip down the center (at 1.5 inches), we are working with the Neenah Cardstock and it’s SUPER thick, which is a great thing, but scoring helps to keep the lines crisp.
Take your 1×3 strip and fold it on the score line. Apply glue from the score line all the way down to the end of one side of the strip. Adhere to one of the shapes that you have cut out.
Now, let’s do that again to the other side.
To complete this card, I added a colored image along with hand made rolled flowers and leaves using CutCardStock Curious Metallic Lime. It adds such a nice amount of shine and really makes the card pop.
If you try this tute out, please share! I would love to see how your spin!!
And don’t forget! The Curious Metallic line of CutCardStock is on sale! You can save 10% the month of March… which leaves you about a week left to get in on this great deal!
