Autumn Paper Bag Pocket
Creating a paper bag pocket is easy and fun. Don’t throw away those little paper lunch sacks and small brown paper bags. You can easily turn them into a fun paper bag pocket that will hold tags, notes, photos, bookmarks, or even a gift card. Today I’ll show you how I created this FUN Autumn paper bag pocket using fabulous cardstocks found at CutCardStock.

What You’ll Need
A paper bag pocket can be created using any type of paper bag. I used a very basic brown paper bag similar to a brown paper lunch sack. Once you’ve selected a bag, lay it on the table in front of you. Take the bottom of the bag and fold it upwards approximately 2/3 of the way from the top of the bag. This creates your pocket. Choose a cardstock to cover those base pieces. I used DCS Natural Twine Cardstock that I cut to fit the two base pieces of my paper bag pocket.

The DCS Natural Twine Cardstock matches the paper bag nicely. I did some machine stitching on these base pieces for a bit of added texture. There’s no “right or wrong” to making these FUN paper bag pockets. Once your two base pieces are in place, you can get to the really fun part which is decorating your paper bag pocket. The only reason why I’m not giving you exact measurements is because every paper bag will be slightly different. Just measure the space you’d like to cover and leave a small peek of the bag.

Selecting Cardstock Colors
When it comes to selecting the perfect high-quality colors of cardstock, you’re always sure to find precisely what you need at CutCardStock. The colors used on this Autumn paper bag pocket include DCS Plum Purple Cardstock, DCS Yellow Jacket, Astrobright Orange Cardstock, DCS Habanero Red, Pop Tone Gum Drop Green, DCS Natural Twine Cardstock and DCS Vanilla Bean Cardstock. These gorgeous colors made the Autumn leaves, acorns and foliage come alive. Some of the leaves are raised up with 3-D Adhesives Dots to give more depth to the leaves.
