Hello crafty friends! Happy December!
Can you believe it’s December already? Where did this year go? Are you ready for Christmas? I don’t know about you but I am in full Christmas project mode – cards, tags, gift card holders etc…
Betterpress Tags or Traditional Tags
Today I am sharing some tags I made using some of our letterpress cardstock along with the Betterpress machine. Did you know that we sell Letterpress cardstock that you can use with your Betterpress? We do and it’s a good thick paper for letterpress (aka Betterpress). I used the Neenah cotton letterpress 110lb cardstock for the tags I made. We also sell an even thicker letterpress cardstock by Cougar that is 236 lb. Now that is thick!

I took a close up photo to show how well this card stock does with the Betterpress system. The to and from are done with the Betterpress and the snowflakes are stamped. Despite not seeing them in person, hopefully you can see how well it embossed on the tags in comparison with the stamped snowflakes.
I made some different tags in the traditional colors of red and green using some die sets from Spellbinders and Concord & 9th. The holly berries are enamel dots by Concord & 9th. The cardstock colors are Granny Smith Apple, Gum Drop Green, Cherry Red, and Neenah Solar white. The tag die I used is by Taylored Expressions and comes in three different sizes. I used the middle size for them.
In Summary
How is your holiday crafting coming along? I still have around 100 cards to make (I give them to the nursing home locally) and gift tags to make. Also presents to make, presents to wrap and not to mention, I still have five trees left to decorate. I am usually ahead of the game but with the storm I have had a hard time getting in the mood because so many around me lost so much. If you pray, we still need your prayers here in Western North Carolina.

Until Next time, Stay Crafty!
