Spider-Themed Scrapbook Layout
Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday! I’m always trying to create fresh and new Halloween-themed scrapbook layouts. It’s Kristin here and I’m sharing a super cute spider-themed scrapbook layout created using White Cardstock and Black Cardstock from CutCardStock!

Supplies
- White Cardstock
- Black Cardstock
- Halloween-themed Pattern Paper (I used Pinkfresh Studio’s Booville collection)
- Spider web cut file (I used the Spiderweb Background cut file by Bramble Fox)
- Electronic cutting machine
- Distress Oxide Ink
- Adhesive
- Pom pom trim and epoxy flair (I used trim and flair from Color Rush Studio’s “A Little Bit of Magic” kit)
- Puffy and enamel sticker stars
- Puffy sticker, rub on, and die cut spiders
- Acrylic spider web confetti
- Sewing machine
Creating the Scrapbook Base
To create the base of the scrapbook page, first I electronically cut the spider web cut file out in the Black Cardstock and adhered it to the White Cardstock.

Next, I adhered the spider web paper to orange pattern paper to create a border. I chose to adhere the spider web in a tilted manner to create a playful and off-kilter border.

Creating the Spiders
The next step was to create the spiders. For this, I chose a spider cut file from Cricut Design Space. Next, I cut out approximately 8 spiders in 4 different sizes for a total of 32 spiders in the White Cardstock .

Next, I inked the spiders with Distress Oxide Ink in the colors Evergreen Bough, Dusty Concord, Carved Pumpkin, Spun Sugar, and Black Soot.

Arranging the Layout
My first task was to figure out how to arrange the spiders on the layout for maximum impact. First, I decided trailing the spiders in a diagonal pattern across the layout would work best. Next, I arranged the spiders so that the colors and sizes of the spiders would be balanced. I mounted the photographs on either side of the spider trail.

To add additional texture to the layout, I sewed pink pom pom trim to the top and the bottom of the spider web paper.

Next, I layered puffy sticker, rub on, and die cut spiders on top of the different colored spiders. Then I added enamel and puffy sticker stars matching the colors with the colored spiders. Finally, I added spider web acrylic confetti.

To bring attention back to the photographs, I layered die cut spiders, epoxy flair, florals, and additional embellishments around the photographs. Finally, I added the puffy sticker title “Wickedly Cute” to the center of the layout.

From spooky details to playful embellishments, this spider-themed scrapbook layout was a fun way to bring a little Halloween magic to the page. I hope I’ve inspired you to create your own spider-themed project!
