Supplies Used

Instructions

Create the Card Base
Cut a piece of Neenah Solar White Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and fold it in half to create an A2 side-folding card base. Fold the front section in half again to create a z-fold.

Prepare the Background Panel
Die cut a stitched rectangle panel from Pop-Tone Pink Lemonade Cardstock. Adhere it to the inside of the card for a soft layered look.

Die Cut the Frame
Using Stardream Metallic Gold Cardstock, die cut a rounded rectangle frame. This metallic layer adds a beautiful elegant shine to the design. Two more times from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.

Create the Tulips
Die cut the tulip pieces from Light Yellow Cardstock and the stems/leaves from Pearl Green Curry Textured Cardstock.
Blend Mustard Seed Distress Ink lightly onto the flower petals for added depth and dimension.

Assemble the Flowers
Layer and glue the tulip pieces together using foam adhesive for dimension. Arrange the flowers inside the gold frame, allowing some leaves and petals to extend beyond the edges for extra interest.

Add the Sentiment
Stamp or die cut a “Just Because” sentiment and adhere it across the lower portion of the floral arrangement.

Design Tip

Using soft pastel cardstock with metallic gold accents creates an elegant, clean look while still keeping the card warm and cheerful. Adding ink blending to the petals gives the tulips a more realistic appearance without overwhelming the simple design.

Until next time, stay crafty!
