Space Ship Box Card

Hey everybody – Happy New Year! I hope you had a good weekend and you’re not planning to work too hard this week! Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for making a fun space ship box card. I used quite a variety of our cardstock which I will list below. Love to cut SVG files in large batches and assemble them while watching TV… usually LMN movies, lol! When I remembered a very cool outer space themed stamp set in my stash, this card came together rather quickly. And I did chuckle a tiny bit while assembling it – this alien just cracks me up!

Cut the Pieces

Using the Alien Ship Box Card SVG cut file from Cyndy G SVG and my Cricut Explore Air 2, I cut the pieces.
1. Ship base and box card inserts: Lessebo Dawn Maroon
2. Windshield: Aqua
3. Alien and sentiment circle layer: Green Curry
4. Ship feet: Lava Stone Gray
5. Antenna disc and light layers: Stardream Metallic Silver
6. Lights: Rubber Ducky
7. Eyes (pupils): Pop Tone Black Licorice
8. Whites of eyes and sentiment circle: Wedding Cake

Build the Card Front

Firstly, adhere the lights and feet to the front card base piece.

Assemble the Insert

Secondly, add the alien and his eyeballs. Isn’t he adorable, lol?!

Construct the Card Back

Thirdly, adhere the windshield and antenna disc on the front side of the card back piece. Flip the piece over, and glue the sentiment circle and layer along with the feet.

Stamp the Sentiment

Finally, stamp an outer space themed sentiment in black ink on the back sentiment circle.
