“Happy Fall” Z Fold Card

Hey crafty friends! It’s Tiffani from A Krafting Alley, and today I’m sharing how I created this festive Happy Fall Z Fold Card. I love making Z fold cards because they always have that fun fancy fold element, and this one is full of cozy autumn vibes!

Supplies Used

All of the cardstock used in this project is from CutCardStock.com. Here are the colors I used:

This card was made using an SVG I designed, so you’ll need that SVG file to recreate the project. You can find it in my Etsy Shop.

Cutting the Pieces

Start by cutting the card base from Cougar White 80 lb cardstock, then fold it along the score lines to form the Z shape.

For the decorative elements, here’s how I broke down the colors:

  • Leaves: Stardream Metallic Copper, Pop-Tone Jellybean Green, and LeSavoy Coffee Bean
  • Acorn: Discount Card Stock Vanilla Bean Brown, LeSavoy Coffee Bean, and Stardream Metallic Antique Gold
  • Pumpkin: Pop-Tone Jellybean Green, Lessebo Coffee Bean, Stardream Metallic Antique Gold and Copper
  • Words: “Happy” and “Fall” cut from Pop-Tone Black Licorice and the “Fall” outline from Stardream Metallic Antique Gold
  • Single leaf next to “Happy” — Stardream Metallic Antique Gold

Assembling the Card

  1. Leaves: Glue the brown outline layer on top of the green leaf, and repeat for the bronze leaf.
  2. Pumpkin: Glue the bronze outline on top of the antique gold layer.
  3. Acorn: Glue the antique gold top to the Vanilla Bean Brown base, then add the Coffee Bean outline layer.
  4. Word “Fall”: Glue the letters F-A-L-L onto the antique gold outline.

Now it’s time to assemble everything onto your card base!

Putting It All Together

  1. Middle panel: Glue down the word “Happy” and the antique gold maple leaf.
  2. Front panel: Add foam tape to the back of the acorn and bronze leaf, then attach them following the outline of the first panel.
  3. Front sentiment: Add foam tape to the back of “Fall” and adhere it to the front panel.
  4. Back panel: Add foam tape to the back of your jellybean green leaf and pumpkin, then glue them down.

Don’t forget to glue the little pumpkin leaf directly to the card base.

To finish, I stamped my personalized “handmade by” stamp on the back of the card — my favorite final touch!

Final Thoughts

I really loved designing and putting together this card! The Stardream Metallic cardstock gives such a gorgeous shimmer — it truly makes the whole project shine. Even if you don’t make this card I hope you try out Stardream Metallic cardstock!

I hope you give this card a try! Let me know what you think, and as always, thanks for crafting with me!
