Scrap Busting Birthday Card

Hello friends, Melissa here. I have a really easy, scrap busting birthday card to share with you today!

Let’s gather supplies! Scraps, scraps and more scraps:

I store my scraps in these clear envelopes in Pink ROYGBIV order. I go to these before I cut into new sheets of card stock. What is your method of storage?

Let’s die cut!

Die cut all the balloons you want! Then add a bit of shading with some ink blending. You will see in my finished card that I also used a white gel pen to add more detail.

Next, let’s emboss our base. I am using one of the OG embossing folders from Cuttlebug. It’s starting to yellow from age but works fabulously. If you don’t have this embossing folder, use clouds or something else. You can always add a Happy Birthday sentiment using a stamp.

Now we can assemble….

Adhere the embossed panel to a card base and then arrange your balloons how you see fit. I then added a bit of baker’s twine to tie it all together.

I hope this card inspired you to dig into that stash and make something fun today.
