A Quick and Easy, Elegant Gate-fold Card

There are so many unique ways to create beautiful cards. Birgit here with you today, with a quick and easy, elegant gate-fold card.

The Supplies:

#80 Neenah, Classic Crest Solar White, #80 Neenah, Classic Crest Natural, 1/4″ Score-Tape

Creating the Gate-fold Card Base:

To create the card base, I cut a piece of #80 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock to measure 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and then scored it on the long side at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″. This gives you the gate-fold we’re looking for.

Once the card was scored and folded, I added two panels of design paper from my stash. Each panel measures 5 1/2″ x 2 1/8″. I adhered the design paper onto the flaps using 1/4″ Score-Tape.

Creating the Card:

To add a focal spot to the front of the card, I die cut a scalloped circle out of Neenah Classic Crest Natural cardstock.

I attached the scalloped circle to the left side flap of the gate-fold card.

I stamped the flower cluster onto #80 Neenah Classic Crest Solar white cardstock and die cut the image out using the coordinating dies and proceeded to stencil the image using the colors shown above.

Once the stenciling was complete, I adhered the flower image onto the scalloped circle.

To finish the card, I then stamped and die cut the sentiment and added it to the front of the card.

The Finished Card:

This is a very quick and easy, elegant gate-fold card to make.

I think this card turned out very nicely. And it’s an easy step up from the standard A2 sized top or side folding card.
