Hugs & Kisses

Hello crafty friends!

It’s Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a valentines card with you using… yes you guessed it, Stardream Metallic cardstock. A lot of people think that Valentine’s day is a hallmark holiday. To be honest, I sorta do too. You don’t need a day of the year to designate you to tell someone you love them. Tell them every day. Do you send cards for Valentine’s day? I send a few but not many, only to my children mostly. I do like to make them though.

To make this card, I started with a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base already cut and scored for me. Did you know that CutCardStock will not only cut your card stock to any size base you want they will also score it for you. How cool is that!?! I cut a panel of Azalea Stardream Metallic for the main panel and Rose Quartz for the heart. Some of these dies don’t actually cut they just emboss into the paper.

Each month I participate in this hop where we are encouraged to dig through our supplies and find something we have not used at all or in a very long time. Surprisingly I came across this die that I purchased last year, but never used it. It’s the perfect die for a valentines card and using the metallic cardstock makes it all the better. I love how this die makes your paper look like those doilies you see at valentines or weddings. The XOXO is also by Concord and 9th from the Short and Sweet die set. I cut the backer three times out of the Neenah Classic Crest Solar White to give it dimension.

Finally I wanted to let you now that Pink and Red cardstock is 30% off through today and just in time for Valentines day.
