Lucky in Love Door Sign
Hello and TGIF! Misty @Mommyofkidz here today sharing a “Lucky in Love” door sign. Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day? I usually will, but just a little, but nothing spectacular or over the top. I’m not much on decorating for the retail inspired “holidays”… but I do Love LOVE!
For my project today, I bought a simple shamrock sign from the local Dollar Tree and altered it into a Valentine Triple heart. In order to do that, I gathered my CutCardStock materials and a few tools and set to work!
Transformation
To begin, I traced around the shamrock onto my DCS Black Cardstock. I wanted to get a good full coverage layer over all the green. Once that part was complete, I used hot glue to stick it all down.

Preparing the Card Stock
I cut the black and red DCS Glitter CardStock into 1/2 inch strips and then began weaving them together. Once I had woven enough that it would cover one leaf of the shamrock, I glued it down and used a craft knife to trim all the excess length from the strips. I did the same with the DCS White Glitter

Valentine Worthy
As I covered each leaf of the shamrock with a different color, it became more Valentine worthy. The Silk Glitter Pink , DCS Red Glitter and DCS White Glitter CardStock were perfect for making this transformation! Once all the leaves/hearts were complete, I added a title. Clearly this is a shamrock, which represents LUCK all on its own. Therefore, I decided to just put LOVE. Making this sign a “Lucky in Love” Valentine Door sign! I used Lots of Pinks and reds in this to represent Valentine’s Day. And Guess what…YOU are in LUCK! Many of the colors that I used are on sale right now!! CLICK HERE to see which ones!

After adding the word “LOVE”, it was almost complete. Not quite, though! Finally, I added a thick jute rope around the entire perimeter of the wooden sign. I felt that it gave it a look of “Completion”. Thanks for Stopping by today! I would love to see what you create for Valentine’s Day…or whatever you choose!!
