Pet Sympathy Card
Hey everybody, Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a great week! Do you struggle with sympathy cards? Leslie here with you today, sharing a tutorial for making a sweet pet sympathy card. Sympathy cards for humans or pets are typically difficult for me but this one came together fairly easily. I can only assume this is because of the awesome cardstock and dies I used. It’s no secret that Lessebo cardstock is my favorite! I used Cherry Red, Brick Orange, Sunflower Yellow, Hunter Green and Navy Blue along with Neenah Classic Crest Solar White.

Cut Card Base, Panels & Strips
First, cut the card base and inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White (110# for base, 80# for inside panel).
Next, cut panels for die cutting the rainbow colored heart shaped pieces. Use Cherry Red, Brick Orange, Sunflower Yellow, Hunter Green and Navy Blue, all from Lessebo cardstock. Also cut varying widths of embellishing strips for the inside from these five colors, as well as a Cherry Red layering panel for the inside.

Create Focal Panel
Die cut the heart shaped pieces from the rainbow colored Lessebo cardstock panels.
Next, die cut the paw print into the center heart and back it with the navy blue cardstsock.
Finally, arrange the pieces in order (like a puzzle).

Adhere Layers
Apply 1″ foam strips to the back of the finished heart panel.
Glue the rainbow colored embellishing strips diagonally to the inside white panel. Then glue the panel to the red layering panel.

Add Pet Sympathy Sentiments & Inside Image
Stamp sentiments on the front panel in blue ink.
Next, stamp a sentiment for the inside on a scrap piece of 80# Solar White cardstock, trim it and adhere it to the inside panel.
Also stamp an angel pup in the lower right corner in the same blue ink. Then stamp the halo in golden ink.

Complete Pet Sympathy Card
Adhere both panels to the card base.
Affix several small iridescent gemstones to the card front, which will complete your pet sympathy card.

Summing up, these are the other products I used:
STAMPS: Kat Scrappiness Rainbow Bridge stamp set
INK: Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist and Shea Butter inks
DIES/PUNCHES: Waffle Flower Gradient Heart Panel dies, Paper Smooches Cat Icons dies
ACCESSORIES: Fiskars 12″ ProCision Rotary Bypass Paper Trimmer, Bearly Art precision craft glue, My Sweet Petunia Precision Glue Press, MISTI stamp tool, Big Shot, 1″ double-sided foam strips, iridescent gemstones
