Skeleton Bottle Tags

Generally, I am not a spooky kind of gal. You know, the one who celebrates Halloween with scary decor? Soon it will be Halloween and I prefer the cuter decor over other options. But when I saw these die cuts recently, I had to have them. They are skeletons that could be decorated anyway you wish!

As a result, I immediately thought that these cuts would make wonderful bottle tags, so I created a couple with a selection of colors from CutCardStock. Here are the results!

First, I cut several backgrounds in Lessebo Pitch Black paper. Next I picked a few of my favorite vibrant colors: Pop Tone Orange Fizz, a turquoise like Lessebo Splash Blue and of course the classic skeleton color, Classic Crest Solar White.

From there, I cut the inner pieces of the skeleton and quickly realized how many little pieces came with the set. Not to be discouraged, I used my stash of washi tape to help me piece together the projects.

Here you can see how I laid the washi tape over the pieces to pick them up off the mat. Apply glue and lay it down on the Lessebo Pitch Black backgrounds.

For the Solar White skeleton, I started playing around with some markers and a black pen. As a result, this creation quickly became a Dia de los Muertos themed tag. Have fun with this! Add color to these projects with various shapes in any way you wish!

You can add 3-D flowers in Pop Tone Orange Fizz and Lessebo Splash Blue. You assemble these by twisting it around a tweezer tool then gluing the bottom of the flower to itself. Hot glue works well for this.

To finish the project, add some ribbon trim to the back with adhesive and cover it with a tab of Lessebo Pitch Black.

It’s time to create the second tag! I made this with the Pop Tone Orange Fizz paper and I decided to cover this one in some glow-in-the-dark grit paste. This is applied with a small brush.

Finally, I added a hat in the Solar White, colored it and then added a trim in Pop Tone Grape Jelly. A bow tie in Pop Tone Wild Cherry completes his look.

Add extra enamel dots and even a sentiment as you desire! Then give this as a gift. For instance, I think this would be a fun gift tag to give a host if you are going to a Halloween party.

If you’re curious, here is what the glow in the dark looks like. Super spooky!!

Cheers to all your Halloween celebrations! Don’t forget to check out the latest CutCardStock deals this month. Creep it real, everyone!
