So Grateful

Hey there, crafty friends! It’s Ceal, here.

Today I am sharing a Fall card that was definitely a labor of love. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I live in the mountains of western North Carolina and the colors here in the fall are so gorgeous. They say that this year is supposed to be even more colorful than most. I used to live in Colorado and although the fall there was beautiful there wasn’t a lot of color. The colors there were mostly green from the evergreens and yellow from the aspens. Here we have yellows, reds, oranges and greens.

For my card, I used an inlay die by Concord & 9th. I have a picture below of what it looks like when you run it through the die cutting machine before you fill it in with the pieces.

To make this card, I ran the die through the die cutting machine using several colors of cardstock. The base is Lessebo Hunter Green. I also cut out the die in the following colors Leesbo Brick, Lessebo Sunflower, Lessebo Coffee Bean and Neenah Desert Storm. I added some distress ink to give them shading and to give the desert storm pieces more fall color. For the veins of the leaves I used Stardream Metallic Gold.

In the beginning of my post I called this card a labor of love. The reason I say that is because let me tell ya it took some time piecing it together. This card will definitely go to someone who I know will not toss it in the trash.

To finish the card, I used a word die also by Concord & 9th cut out of Stardream Metallic Gold and Vellum for the backer. The Stardream cardstock is so beautiful in real life.
