Card for Spring

Yesterday was officially the 1st full day of spring! Has it arrived where you are? Are you experiencing warm days filled with sunshine and flowers beginning to pop out? Not quite yet where I live, but I’m looking forward to those days.

Hey there! It’s Judy here with my latest project for CutCardStock and it’s a card for spring. I’ve used several card stocks in pinks and greens and some can be found as part of the Monthly Specials for March.

Card Base

I created a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card base using DCS Discount Card Stock: Amaranth Pink. I cut a piece of Mohawk Super Fine White Smooth 100 lb CardStock to 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches.

Next I cut 2, 1/4 inch wide pieces from MirriSparkle Glitter Pink Sapphire Card Stock, 1, 1 inch wide piece of DCS Discount: Amaranth Pink and 1 piece of 1/2 inch wide piece of Lessebo Colors Premium Bubble Gum Pink Cardstock. All of these were at lengths longer than 6inches or so.

I then cut a piece of Lessebo Colors Premium BLOSSOM Pink 83lb Discount Cardstock 4 3/4 x 3 1/8 inches. The top pf this piece was cut on an angle with the left side being 1 inch tall and the right at about 3 1/8 inches. This piece was embossed with an embossing folder for a little texture.

All of these pieces were adhered to the white 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 inch piece of card stock from above.

Trim even with the edges of the white card and adhere to card base.

Die Cutting

Die cut flower and foliage pieces using Lessebo Bubble Gum Pink, Lessebo Hunter Green, Pop Tone Gum Drop Green and DCS Discount Amaranth Pink.

I added a little ink to the flower petals.

A white circle was die cut as a base for the flower. Smile sentiment was also die cut.

Finishing

Add the white circle die cut to the card and layer the flower on top. I added a white pearl to flower center.

Adhere the sentiment in the left top corner.

Finish with the foliage and a few pink pearls.

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my card for spring project!
