Easter Egg Shaker Card
Hey there! Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here today sharing a little Easter themed shaker card. I know, I know…it’s not Easter yet, but it sure doesn’t hurt to start preparing early!
So, we all know that I am not a card maker. Not in the least. However, one of my goals this year is to get a little better and more comfortable making them. It is not likely that I will EVER make them on the regular, but at least I can say I tried. I really enjoy making shakers, so I decided this was the type of card to do. I found a cut file that was perfect for that, AND I will be able to give it as an Easter greeting to someone special. WIN WIN! I gathered my card stock and pulled out a Stardream Metallic Gatefold Card and set to work.
To begin, I cut the easter Egg cut file four times on my Cricut Maker using DCS Canvas Textured Wedding Cake White Cardstock and some leaves and stems for enhancement.

Assembly
Once everything was cut, it was time to ssemble. I began by glueing each layer together giving the thickness that was needed for the shaker. In addition, I used the Lessebo Blossom Pink and Stardream Metallic Fairway Green to back the cut file where all the flowers and leaves were. The backing was added to the bottom layer of the cutfile. After adding the acetate to the front and the sequins to the inside, it was time to start assembling the card.

I used a piece of plaid printed scrapbook paper mounted onto Lessebo Blossom Pink as the decoration for the front. To add the shaker, I secured only the left side in place, leaving the right side unsecured. This allows for the card to open. After gluing the completed shaker into place, it was time to add the flowers and foliage. Finally, I added some pearls and ink to add a bit of visual “Eye-Candy” to my card. It is a very basic card, but I love it! Also, it will serve the purpose of wishing someone a very Egg-Cellent Easter!
I hope I have inspired you today and that you all have an Egg-cellent and crafty week! Thank you for stopping by. Head on over to the CutCardStock store and check out this month’s specials before they end!
