Christmas Critter Gift Tags
Do you make your own gift tags for Christmas? This is probably one of my favorite things to do during the holiday season!
I like to give my coworkers simple low cost gifts for Christmas and to make them more special, I’ll add a handmade gift tag. My coworkers know I’m a crafty person so they really get a kick out of these additions. To be honest with you, I could probably just give them the gift tag and they’d be happy! LOL
There are so many holiday images in Cricut Design Space, you can use any of them to make tags. After making a selection, choose your cardstock colors, a variety of adhesives and any other tools needed to complete them.

Before adding any adhesive, layer the images first. Believe me, this helps avoid any adhesive being placed where it shouldn’t be. It also helps put the images together quicker & easier. Cardstock used for these tags are: Wedding Cake White, Black Licorice, Pewter, Orange Fizz, Pepper Red, Jet Stream (Pearlized). You could use solid cardstock for the tag backgrounds, but I chose a patterned paper that coordinated with the colors chosen.

Using foam adhesive to uplift the critters’ noses gives these simple tags interest and dimension. Some white highlights and glitter marker adds so much to them too!

Aren’t these adorable? They are so cute that I decided to make quite a few more to add to my home gift tag stash. You can never have enough cute gift tags. Am I right?

I added “To and From” to the back of each tag. Now that you see how easy it is, will you be making your own gift tags this year?
I’ll tell you a little secret of what we do at our home – Since most of the gifts we exchange are to the same people each year (i.e. To Mom From “Daughter’s Name”), we reuse them year after year. As long as they are still holding up, we’ll reuse them. I have two containers in my Gift Wrap Station, one for brand new tags with no names and the other for these used tags. Some tags are so awesome that they deserve more than just one Christmas!
