Easy Lattice Thank You Card

Hey everybody! Happy Friday – I hope you’ve had a great week and plan to do something fun this weekend! Leslie here, sharing a pretty DT inspiration project featuring our Cougar Smooth White and Pop Tone Berrylicious cardstock! Lattice cards seem to be sweeping the internet lately and they are so pretty! And surprisingly easy! My inspiration for this card came from a video I saw online where a lattice split card was demonstrated. I made a regular top-folding version with a couple other changes and will share the details in this post.

Cut Card Base, Layers & Lattice Strips

Create a 4-1/4″ x 11″ card base from Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock. Score the card base at 5-1/2″ on the long side and cut 3-1/4″ off one end leaving a 2-1/4″ flap. Create lattice strips by cutting five 4-1/4″ x 1/2″ strips and two 4-1/4″ x 3/8″ strips from the cut-off piece.

Next, cut a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ front backing panel and a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ inside layering panel from Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock.

And finally, cut a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ inside layering panel and two 1/8″ wide embellishing strips from Pop Tone Berrylicious cardstock. These pieces are NOT SHOWN in the photo and I apologize. I failed to notice that they were over by my paper trimmer when I took this photo. I should have noticed there was something missing, lol! 😐

Assemble Lattice

Close the card base and lay the five 1/2″ strips horizontally, spacing them as evenly as possible. Place six dots of glue down each side (about 1/2″ inward) and adhere the two 3/8″ strips in a vertical fashion. Trim the excess off the bottom.

Adhere Layers

Affix the front backing panel to the underside of the lattice with foam strips. This will ensure the inside panel will not be visible through the lattice.

Next, adhere the Pop Tone Berrylicious embellishing strips diagonally to the top of the inside layering panel and adhere it to the Berrylicious panel.

Create Front Sentiment

Laminate a piece of foil (choice of color) to a piece of a toner sheet and die cut the sentiment.

Stamp, Color & Cut Florals

Stamp a floral image in gray ink twice, color both with choice of coloring medium, and fussy cut.

Add Florals & Sentiments

Add both florals and foiled sentiment to the card front.

Stamp the inside sentiment on a Cougar scrap, die cut it, and adhere it to the inside panel. Adhere the panel to the card base.

Complete Project

Add several iridescent gemstones to the card front which will complete the project.
