Turkey Cone | Raechelle Bellus

Hi y’all! 🙂 Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and when I saw this cute turkey, I knew I had to have him as a table decoration. He’s about 9-1/2″ tall, so he’s a good size to fill with some goodies. He’s also a quick assemble, so you still have time to whip one up for your table- it might be the easiest part of Thanksgiving if you are the hostess/host. 😉

I found this guy, ‘Turkey Cone Container’ ID #100310 in the Silhouette Studio Design store. I used several colors of CutCardStock from the CutCardStock store to create him: Discount Card Stock Vanilla Bean Brown, Pop Tone Tangy Orange, Pop Tone Orange Fizz, Classic Crest Ivory Card Stock, Basis White Card Stock, Pop Tone Lemon Drop, and Discount Card Stock Black.

To assemble the base, you’ll need some twine (instructions are provided with download). Loop the twine through the holes on the base piece to create a bucket, if you will, for the main lower base of the turkey. Make sure that the first main body piece base fits snugly atop of this base, but loose enough to take off to fill/enjoy the treats inside.

Next, assemble each scallop piece for the body and then adhere atop of each other on main body base. Layer the feathers for the tail and head, adhere and let dry. Add beak and eye pieces then adhere to create the face.

It’s a super quick project and so cute! The basket area holds quite a bit- I used half a bag of candy to fill it.

You can find all the card stock I used to create this project and so much more in the CutCardStock Store!

I hope you all have a blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving!
