turkey card

Combining card stock and ribbon makes a fun and wonky turkey card for Thanksgiving. Do you know someone who would enjoy this card? It is really fun to make. Changing the placement of the different elements will adjust the final look making it uniquely yours.

Hi, I am Janet from Try it – Like it – Create it, and I created this free SVG file to share with you as a part of the CutCardStock design team. Do you love working with SVG files? As a graphic designer, I love creating SVG files, and I will be sharing projects, including SVG files, with you twice a month.

The colors I chose to work with are all from the Basis line and they are weighted at 80# cover and come in a variety of different colors. The folded card is also Basis and comes in different sizes: 4″ x 6″, A2, A1, A6, 5″ x 7″, and table tent. Cutting this file on a Cricut Maker, I set it to cut 100# cardstock.

materials

All the pieces are cut and ready to assemble. The ribbon was cut to 4″ in length.

ribbon

The ribbon was added to the card front first and the turkey elements were glued together separately and then added on top with foam tape.

From this angle, you can see the dimension and the googly eyes. The body of the turkey is applied at a slight angle.

Hi, I am Janet. I am married to my husband Dan and we have two teenaged girls. Nowadays I work from home. I have always loved to create. As a child, one of my favorite things to do was talk my mom into a trip to the craft store. I took my love of art and craft and studied Graphic Design in college. Then I pursued an MFA in Graphic Design and an MS in New Media. I left a prosperous career as a college professor to raise our girls. Looking for a creative outlet, I started a website; Try it - Like it - Create it
