Happy Holidays my friends! It’s Teri with TerisMailbox and today I am sharing a fun holiday reindeer decor piece for CutCardStock. I am using a variety of Stardream Metallic Cardstock which adds such a subtle shimmer to projects.
Create the Base
Start by swiping an Ideology Burlap Panel with acrylic paint. This is more of a dry brush technique as you need a light layer. Add the background by using Collage Medium to attach a piece of Holiday Collage Paper from Ideology at an angle across the front. Set aside to dry.
Create the Elements
Die cut the decor pieces. Cut the reindeer from chipboard plus Curious Metallic Gold Leaf Cardstock. Use the Sizzix Reindeer Bigz Die (664219). Glue together and set aside.
Cut the cathedral window from chipboard plus Black Licorice Cardstock. Use The Cathedral Bigz Die from Sizzix (664974). Glue together and set aside.
Cut the Holly Leaves and Berries as well as the sentiment from Mars Stardream Metallic and Fairway Stardream Metallic Cardstock. Use the Holly and Berries Bigz Die (656296). Stamp a text stamp on the leaves to give it texture.
Cut the sentiment using the Mars Stardream Metallic Cardstock and a Sizzix Thinlit Die.
Assemble the panel
Use Collage Medium to attach the cathedral window in the upper left corner.
Arrange the Holly and Berries at the apex of the window.
Add the reindeer in a jumping position.
Add the sentiment at an angle on the lower right section.
The last step is the fun one. Grab your Ranger Splatter Brush or a medium size brush. Add white Gesso to your craftmat and dilute with water. Splatter away!
