Do you love working with SVG files? As a graphic designer, I love creating SVG files, and I will be sharing projects and SVG files with you. Hi, I am Janet from Try it – Like it – Create it, and I have a card stock box with an open-designed top to share as a part of the CutCardStock design team.

The metallic card stock I used to make this decorative box really adds to the finished project and shows off the lattice design on the top of the box. I love how the inset card stock shimmers between the design of the Dark Purple card stock. Punch card stock which was used for the insert piece has a mica-coated metallic and pearlescent finish that has an iridescent range that causes the smooth surface to shimmer in the light.

What a great color combination, they complement each other so well. The box is made from Dark Purple card stock and the insert is Stardream Metallic card stock in Punch. I can’t get enough of this color combination!

I cut the dark purple card stock with a Cricut Maker. The SVG file has the top and the bottom design. The red lines in the file will need to be changed to score before you send it to your cutting machine. A paper trimmer was used to cut the insert piece of Punch card stock which measures about an eighth of an inch smaller in both directions.

*Tip: I cut the 80# Dark Purple card stock at a normal setting of 100# card stock on my Cricut Maker. I used the Scoring Stylus for the score lines.
