Embossed Card Ideas

Hello friends. Altenew’s Begonia Embossing Folder inspired me to do multiple different cards with products from CutCardStock! Check this post and the video for different techniques and different looks!

Look at this colorful variety of cards, all using the same embossing folder!

I used Astro-Bright Cardstock for this group. Emboss the cardstock using the Begonia Embossing Folder. The video showing all techniques is here:

Here are a few different examples using the Re-Entry Red Astrobright Cardstock, The Lunar Blue Astrobright and the Solar Yellow Astrobright cardstock.

Apply small dots of Black Nuvo drops with an applicator for the stamen. Blend the deeper color on top of the cardstock using even medium pressure. Isn’t it cool? Check the video above to see the details.

This card used a different technique. Emboss the red base with a Striped Embossing Folder. Check out the center of the heart. Emboss the begonia image on a piece of Glama Natural Translucent Vellum. The detail and shimmer are so cool! Three layers of the word hugs covered with Nuvo Glaze add just the right touch!

The final grouping uses a letterpress technique to color the background with gold and copper inks. All details are in the video. Mount the red piece on a piece of Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock. Cut The sentiment from the same cardstock. Mount the blue on Stardream Metallic Copper Cardstock. Die cut the Hugs sentiment t from the same cardstock.
