How to create a shimmery all occasion Congrats card!
Hello, CutCardStock fans! Leslie here, and thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! Have you had an occasion to send a congrats card lately? An ‘all occasion’ Congrats is the ticket – this can be used for just about any occasion calling for a congratulations! The card I’m sharing with you today features more of the gorgeous Stardream Metallic cardstock that’s on sale this month paired with Classic Crest Solar White which is a fan favorite!
*Cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with an inside layering panel and a stitched scallop yoke from Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock.
*Cut a front layering panel, a medium stitched flag die cut and a 1/4″ embellishing strip for the inside from Stardream Metallic Silver 105# cardstock.
*Cut a large stitched flag die cut, a congrats die cut, an inside layering panel and a 1/8″ embellishing strip from Stardream Metallic Sapphire 105# cardstock.
*Adhere the stitched scallop yoke to the top of the silver front layering panel, leaving the bottom center of the yoke free of adhesive. I call this a yoke because it reminds me of a yoke on a child’s dress. 😀
*Adhere the medium silver stitched flag to the large blue stitched flag. Apply adhesive to the back side of the flags and slide underneath the very bottom edge of the yoke.
*Adhere the congrats die cut to the flags.
*Adhere the 1/4″ silver strip and the 1/8″ blue strip to the left side of the inside panel, then adhere the panel to the blue layer.
*Adhere the completed front panel to the card base and embellish the yoke with three iridescent gemstones.
*Stamp the sentiment on the inside panel in blue ink and adhere the panel to the inside of the card base. Your ‘all occasion’ Congrats card is finished and ready for your friend’s new job or promotion, new house, new car, or new whatever! 😉
