Sending Holiday CHEER Card!

Hi! Crafty friends. How is everyone doing? I’m all done Christmas shopping, at least I think I am till I remember I forgot someone. Today, I have a fun holiday cheer card to share. I love wreaths with flowers and thought it might be kind of fun to make a wreath with mittens and gloves.

I started my card by die-cutting a circle frame out of Stardream Metallic Vista card stock. Then, I used the circle frame as a guide to adhere the mittens and gloves for the wreath.

Next, I die cut a 5 1/2″X 4 1/4″ rectangle out of Amethyst card stock. I used a stitched circle die to cut a circle out of the middle of the rectangle.

To make a window looking into the card when it was shut, I die cut a circle out of the card base’s front before folding it in half.

I adhered my circle frame around the opening of the purple rectangle card stock.

Then, I ran the rectangle through my die cutting machine in a snowflake embossing folder.

I added white pigment ink to the rectangle panel to help the snowflakes pop off the card more.

Next, I stamped the sentiment “sending holiday CHEER” on the inside of the card so when it is shut, you can see it through the front circle opening.

I stamped the mittens and gloves onto Stardream Metallic card stock in Blue, Amethyst, Rose, and Lagoon and stamped a shade darker than the card stock on it. Then heat set the ink after to make sure the ink was good and dry. When stamping onto the Stardream Metallic cardstock, the ink doesn’t dry very fast; it kind of sits on the paper. I stamped the black outline over the colored ink and then used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

I adhered the gloves and mittens to the circle frame and adhered the whole panel to a card base.
Thanks for stopping by today!
