Purple Monochromatic Birthday Card!
Hi crafty friends! How are you all doing? Summer is coming to an end for us and we will be starting a new school year with lots of new things to learn.
I have a Purple Monochromatic card to share today. I don’t make too many monochromatic cards but this one was lots of fun to make. I used Cougar-White card stock for every layer of this card this card stock is perfect for both inking and embossing.
I started with a piece of Cougar-White card stock trimmed to 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ for a A2 card base. I added Damon Wine ink to all of the edges dark on the edges that would show.
I then trimmed a piece of Cougar-White card stock down to 5 1/4″ X 4″ ran it through my die cutting machine in a embossing folder.
I went softly over the whole embossed panel with some Crushed Velvet.
I used Cougar-White card stock again and stenciled some flowers in different shades of purple pigment ink so I could add clear embossing powder.
I added some clear embossing powder over the ink and heat set it. After I was done heat setting the embossing powder I die cut a stitched edge oval out of the card stock.
I stamped “Happy” and “Birthday” on Cougar-White card stock with purple ink. I layered all of the different elements of the card and adhered the whole card panel to a 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ card base.
Thanks for stopping by today!
