St. Patty’s Day Banner

Can you believe it’s almost springtime?! The warmth is peaking it’s head out and I can’t wait. The spring is filled with so many fun holidays, and it’s easy to decorate for them using just a few supplies. Here’s how to make a festive shamrock banner to spruce up your home for March!
Supplies Needed:
–Curious Metallic Cardstock -Ice Silver or Poison Ivory are good options
–Dark Green Cardstock
–Double-sided Foam Adhesive Squares
-Die Cutting machine
-Twine
To begin, I used my Silhouette Cameo die cutting machine to cut out a bunch of shamrocks in both white and green. I also made an offset for the shamrock so it would create some dimension.

You usually need more than you think!

Next, take some foam adhesive squares and place them on the back side of the shamrocks (not the offset pieces.) I decided to make the design with a green-white-green-white pattern.

After all the squares were on, place the shamrock on the offset piece in the coordinating opposite color.

Now take a very small hole punch and punch a hole in the top of each shamrock.

Using a piece of twine, thread the shamrocks onto it the begin creating the banner.

Place the finished banner on a mantel, piano, shelf–whatever needs a pop of festive color!

With just a little time and few supplies, you can decorate your home for each holiday without the extra stress on you.
