Altered Book Planter and Decorative Rosettes!

Hi there! Hannah here, from Fanciful Spaces!

I’ve got not one, but two projects for you today! I was inspired by some book planters at our local library to DIY my own. Yup, if you’re thinking of making books planters for plants, you are thinking along the right lines!

I had two books cut up, I decorated them, glued them together, and created this heavenly project that is fit to be a companion piece to my project earlier this month!

You should recognize those unicorns, they are from the same Breyer Blind Bags I used for the wreath I created. Who doesn’t love blind bags, especially when they have UNICORNS in them!?!?!?!

Most of my CutCardStock paperwork for this project was in the spines:

I used Basis White CardstockStardream Gold Metallic Cardstock, and Mirri Glitter Sparkle Silver Cardstock! I used the latter two to form the insides of my rosettes, the rosettes themselves were made out of pages from one of the books I altered.

Doing these two projects was SO MUCH FUN! I hope I’ve inspired you to play, create, and upcycle something!
