I have always been drawn to Folk Art images whether it’s in books, on ceramics or on greeting cards. The intricate designs and crisp, graphic look just draw me in. I recently received a beautiful Folk Art Christmas stamp with a magazine I purchased and wanted to try it out for a Christmas card.
I started with a panel of Cougar White Super Smooth 100# cardstock and stamped the Noel in the middle, and then some of the pretty holly leaves to frame it.
I wanted to keep the card pretty clean and simple, so I stamped a couple of the hearts with folk art scenes and trimmed them out.
Before placing the hearts on either side of the “Noel,” I trimmed my original white panel down and adhered it to some Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock with foam squares. I then adhered the entire panel to a notecard I made with more Cougar Super Smooth. I love the crisp, bright red of this cardstock–a perfect Christmas red!
Thanks so much for joining me today. Just in time for holiday crafting, red, white and green cardstock is on sale this month in the shop at cutcardstock.com. Have a great day!
