Here’s part two of an earlier post Silver Congrats Card. It’s part two because I used the same layering dies, Birch Press Kaleidoscope, as I did in the part one post. This time I used different parts of the die-cut and of course different paper.
I love playing with metallic papers and the Rose Gold Foil is no exception. It’s stunning. These dies worked perfectly with the Rose Gold card stock. To keep the focus on the Rose Gold, I used Curious Metallic in Poison Ivory for the two layers underneath. The Poison Ivory is a nice shimmery ivory color to pair with the Rose Gold.
I loved the Rose Gold Foil so much that I saved all the little pieces that were removed from the layering die. I decided to add a few to the card front with sequins. The rest I saved in a bowl to use later.
For the card base, I used Curious Metallic in Ice Gold. It’s a nice sturdy card stock that has a little shimmer. I created a top-folding card and adhered all the pieces with Tombow Liquid Glue. I stamped the Gina K sentiment in the center and heat embossed it with Rose Gold embossing powder. Once again, I left the inside blank. Now I can use this card for a birthday, thinking of you, or perhaps a thank you card.
Only a few days left until the end of the month. Be sure to check out the CutCardStock shop to see all the gold and silver card stock that’s on sale until the end of this month.
Thanks so much for visiting. Until next time. . . . inky hugs!!

Fancy edged & vintage chicAnother square card, using the same patterned paper line (Hometown Summer) as the whimsical watermelon card shown earlier (July 8), but choosing another array of Pop Tone’s brilliantly colored card stock. This time the card has a shabby chic, vintage look but still uses a patterned paper from the Hometown Summer…

Konnichiwa, everyone! Today I’m going to show you how to create a really pretty card made with just one layer…no paper piecing, no ribbons, no additional layers whatsoever. Might sound boring, but it’s the complete opposite. It’s a challenge to create depth, texture and perceived layers without actually adding additional pieces of paper or other…
The biggest dinner party of the year will soon be upon us and wouldn’t it be nice to have a hostess gift ready to go? I always think a nice bottle of wine or sparkling apple cider makes a great gift, so I thought I’d “kick it up a notch” and really put a Thanksgiving…
Pretty and so shiny!
