Shimmery elegance is how I would describe the Curious Metallic Cardstock on sale this month. I was drawn to the lovely Blue Print shade and wanted to try a simple look with some white heat embossing to really bring out that vibrant blue.
When I create cards with little embellishment or plain stamping, I like to add another layer that doesn’t compete, but adds texture and interest. I decided to use my favorite embossing folder along with a card base made with Cougar White Super Smooth cardstock.
I cut a panel of the Blue Print cardstock and used a stamp platform to ensure a perfect impression when I stamped my flowers using Versamark Ink.
I used a bright, opaque white embossing powder to heat emboss the flowers onto the panel. The Curious Metallic Cardstock heat embosses beautifully! I also added a small panel for my heat embossed sentiment and popped it up on the panel with some foam tape. I then added foam tape to the entire panel and added that to my white card base. I lined it up with the top left corner so some of the dry embossing of the card base could be seen.
Thanks so much for joining me here on my first design team post. Have a great day!–Heidi

One of my favorite ways to use glitter card stock is to add just a touch using a die cut word. For today’s project, I have a clean and simple all-occasion card perfect for a quick note to a friend or loved one. I started by die-cutting a script-style hello word die using a piece…
I have so many things to be grateful for, I wanted a pocket or purse size journal to record them in during November. I created a small (4.25″ x 5.5″) Gratitude Journal for recording what I am grateful for each day. It could be a simple saying or thought, a photograph with a short caption…
