Encouraging a Friend

One easy way to encourage a dear friend is by sending or giving them a handmade card! Sometimes just letting them know they are thought of and appreciated can lift their spirits, or help them through a difficult time.

With just a few supplies, I was able to make a simple but pretty card in a matter of minutes. Neenah Solar White makes a great card base. I took some help from patterned paper I had in my stash. Using Mono Multi is a simple way to adhere layers of a card. Basis Black and Pop Tones Cotton Candy cardstocks pull it all together.

I created all the components of my card, each cut to size, which then allowed my to assemble in a flash. By cutting the diagonal piece of the floral paper, I could have easy made another card at the same time, and have one to keep on hand for later.

I found an encouraging sentiment from my stamp collection and white heat embossed it so it would really pop off the black cardstock. To help the embossing process, I used an anti-static powder bag. Then with a little VersaMark and my trusty Misti stamp platform, I was all set.

I love how it turned out, and I know it will be appreciated! How do you encourage and uplift people in your life?
Happy Crafting, Amber
