Hi Friends!! kel here today 🙂 Can you believe it’s only 2 short months until Christmas?!?! Every year I challenge myself to make thank you cards, but always end up buying them because it’s so much easier and faster. Well this year, I’m determined to send out some handmade thank you chards, so am experimenting with some quick and easy designs!!
I started out with some beautifully textured cardstock from the Royal Sundance collection. The beautiful Christmas green color is from their linen textured collection, 80# Emerald Cardstock. This color is just gorgeous, and I wanted to show you how beautifully textured this paper is!! And it’s SUPER thick and sturdy too!!
I cut my paper in half lengthwise so that I’d have a card with the fold on top. And since I cut the 8.5″x11″ sheet in half, I got two bases out of it so thought I might as well make two cards to see how quick it would be to make a whole bunch of them!
I paired it with some super fun and shiny holly patterned paper, but thought it needed a little oomph. Too much green going on for me!!
Using that same Basis 80# Dark Red Cardstock, I cut some strips for a sentiment and then heat embossed it. I think my embossing powder might be old (?) because it doesn’t melt really nicely anymore. Something I should look up I guess!!
The last thing I did was fish-tail the strips into banners, and then pop them up on some pop dots across the center of the card. How quick and easy is that?!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make sure to stay up to date with the latest news and sales on the CutCardstock Facebook Page!! lovies, =o) kel

This week I started getting out my Fall decor from storage, hoping to influence the weather in AZ to cool down a bit. My flowers outside are wilting from the heat! So autumn flowers are the inspiration for this mini banner. It won’t take up much space – you can hang these on a letter…
That’s a Wrap! While most are finished shopping for Christmas, many haven’t wrapped the fruits of their shopping labor just yet. As a self-professed paper snob, wrapping gifts (albeit last minute) is one of the joys I have during the Christmas season. It is a time for me to unwind and reflect on each recipient of…
It’s back to school time for many of you, but for me, I’ve still got two full weeks of summer with my kiddos, as construction at our schools pushed us back. So my brain is still in full summer mode, which means pretty much non-functioning – LOL!I do look forward to this project that I…
